How To Use Pkhex?
First, you have to download PKHeX from our official site, PKHeX.net
Then, check whether the PKHeX version you download supports your game version (Sword/Shield, Scarlet/Violet, 3DS titles).
Extract Your Save File
Here are some files. The Extracting method for you
- Nintendo Switch: Export saves using homebrew tools like JKSV or Checkpoint on a hacked Switch.
- 3DS: Use Checkpoint or GodMode9 via homebrew to decrypt and extract saves.
- Emulators (Citra, Yuzu, Ryujinx): Saves are stored in the emulator’s directory (Ryujinx/sdcard/save for Switch games).
Open the Save File in PKHeX
After Extracting Your Save File, you must launch PKHeX and load your save file (mainly for Switch games, save for 3DS). One more thing you have to do is always duplicate your original saved file before editing.
Top Editing Features
Here Are the most valuable features of PKHeX.
- Pokemon Editing:
- Click any Pokemon in your boxes to modify species, stats, moves, EVs/IVs, and more. Then, Use the Legality Checker (right-click → Report) to ensure edits are valid. Illegal Pokemon may cause bans online.
- Items/Inventory:
- Navigate to the Items tab to edit your bag, PC, or held items.
- Trainer Info:
- Adjust TID, SID, OT name, money, and playtime under the Trainer Info tab.
- Event Injection:
- Import event Pokemon (.wc8, .pkm files) via Tools → Load Mystery Gift.
Save and Replace
After Editing the Pokemon file, Click File → Save in PKHeX to overwrite your save. If you are a Console User, re-inject the edited save using Homebrew tools. For Emulator Users, Replace the save file in the emulator’s directory.
